Bringing Physical Value On-Chain
A specialised vertical that proves ComTech GmbH's tokenisation technology against a physical asset held outside the company.
ComTech GmbH's experience in this vertical is with gold. The metal is vaulted and verified by third parties; the technology configures the token, records the holding and executes transfers on authorised instruction. {{TK: whether the precious metals vertical is a live deployment or a reference implementation}}
The metals chain is the platform lifecycle applied to one physical asset. Each stage below is a step in that sequence.
Physical Metal
Gold held in a vault operated by a third party. ComTech GmbH never takes possession of metal. {{TK: named vault operator for the precious metals vertical}}
Vault / Custodian
Custody, insurance and bar-level records are the vault operator's responsibility. {{TK: named custodian and the jurisdiction the vault sits in}}
Verification
Holdings are verified by an independent audit before any token is issued against them. {{TK: name of the audit firm and the audit frequency}}
Tokenisation
The token is configured to represent a defined quantity of verified metal, with transfer rules set to match the instrument's restrictions.
Digital Token
Each token corresponds to a recorded, verified holding, and supply is reconciled against the vault's records. {{TK: the token standard and DLT network used for the metals token}}
Transfer / Integration / Redemption
Tokens transfer between permitted holders and integrate with third-party systems on authorised instruction. Redemption for physical metal is a lifecycle stage the technology supports; it is performed by the issuer and the vault operator, not by ComTech GmbH.
